ok, this post should be entitled my first
few 3D images...
So, first things first: I decided to learn 3D modelling with blender. There are two reasons why I started with that particular program, one ideal and one more practical: first of all, Blender is free and can be obtained legally from their website (
http://www.blender.org/); and secondly because I'm very fond of free software.
The first image is a bit blocky, no background, just a bounch of "extrusion" (in blender jargon that means duplication of vertexes and faces), it is just my first attempt at creating a man like object:

a simple man needs a simple background (at this point I also learned how to smooth out surfaces):

And finally, a proper image (this image took me about two hours, but not that I know a bit more how to get things done, I could probably make it again in maybe half an hour):

hope you like them ;)
